We arrived in heathrow airport around 3:30 to spend our first day in london. Little did we know it wouldn't be until 8 before we actually did anything. Not to say trying to locate a hostel using shitty directions while lugging a 50 pound suitcase and a 30 pound duffle bag wasn't worth my time, but I guess there are just better things london has to offer. For instance, "the eye." Which is, simply put, a big ass ferris wheel only you share the ride with about 25 other people and a crying baby. Milenium Bridge (bottom) was a cool view, but seeing parliament (top) lit up was entirely worth the 18 pounds. Afterwards we went to an outside cafe thing where the waiters pointed and laughed at us from a distance for being American and then asked if everyone was as spoiled as the Laguna Beach/My Super Sweet Sixteen characters. UMMM EXCUSE ME SIR..I might be an American but if you're watching shows like laguna beach and M.S.S.S. then I think we can all agree on who came out looking better in this situation. That night at the hostel I slept in a room that got to be roughly 90 degrees with 11 other half naked individuals. Oh the joys of traveling on a budget.
